New in: Shifu Food Court at Bras Basah Complex has officially reopened its doors! The popular food court, which has been around since 2001, recently underwent a major revamp before unveiling a brand-new look.

The new food court looks rather spacious, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a whopping total of 14 stalls to choose from.

A standout is Chun Noodle Bar, which puts an interesting spin on wonton mee. Their Truffle Char Siu Wanton Noodle ($9.50/$11.50)Â features al dente mee kia zhnged up with a dash of truffle pate, tossed in a fragrant house-made sauce. The dish is then topped with wonton and char siew. Each bowl comes with a side of tonkatsu soup, which elevates the dining experience.

Alternatively, noodle lovers can check out Ah Gong KKMÂ for their hearty bowls of ke kou mian. There’s the Spicy KKM (from $5.50), featuring instant noodles topped with pork balls, fresh prawns, and sweet clams.
Popular bak chor mee brand Ding Ji also makes an appearance at Shifu Food Court.

You’ll find their signature Teochew Mushroom Minced Meat Noodles (price TBD) here, where mee pok is tossed in a piquant chilli sauce, then finished with minced meat and juicy mushroom slices.

If you love Japanese food, you have to check out Haru-Haru, which offers donburi bowls topped with katsu and curry. There’s the Mentai Chicken Katsu Don ($8.90), where a generous slab of deep-fried chicken cutlet is topped with creamy mentaiko mayo and served on a bed of pearl rice.
Other highlights at Shifu Food Court include Penang fried kway teow, Thai fried chicken, and yong tau foo!
