There are a fair few chee cheong fun stalls in Singapore that have popped up in recent years, including hidden gem finds such as Yong Huat Delight. Another one to add to the list is Sing Lung HK Cheong Fun, a Michelin-approved hawker stall located along Beach Road. In fact, they were recently awarded a spot on the Michelin Bib Gourmand 2023 list!

Sing Lung HK Cheong Fun is run by an ex-restaurant chef who hails from Hong Kong. Chef Kong Yiu Man has had many years of culinary experience working in famous dim sum kitchens across Hong Kong, as well as in Singapore.

They’re most known for their fresh chee cheong fun, which are handmade and steamed to order. The rolls are said to be well worth the wait, as they’re light and silky smooth.

To get an unadulterated taste of their handmade rice rolls, opt for the Plain Cheong Fun ($3), generously drizzled with a peanut and soy sauce mix, and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Other fan favourites are the Prawn Cheong Fun ($4.50)Â and Char Siew Cheong Fun ($4.20). There’s also a lesser-seen Mushroom Cheong Fun ($3.80)!

Those who want something more filling can also go for their Century Egg Pork Porridge ($3), said to be smooth and creamy. Each portion is packed with century egg pieces and thin pork slices, and then topped with fried shallots for added richness.

Otherwise, their HK Glutinous Rice ($3.30)Â is also well-loved for its generous serving of Chinese sausage and mushrooms, and excellent rice texture.
Sing Lung HK Cheong Fun is a nine-minute walk from Nicoll Highway MRT Station. Do note that they tend to sell out earlier than their stipulated closing time, so make sure you head down in the morning for your cheong fun fix!
