The new Starbucks at Bird Paradise Singapore has beautiful cabin vibes
“Wait… that’s a Starbucks?” was my first reaction when changing upon the new Starbucks at Mandai Wildlife Reserve’s Bird Paradise. You couldn’t blame me for that, though—it definitely looks markedly different from your average cafe. Some have likened it to a cabin in the woods, while others have noted that it resembles a rustic glass house. The fact that it’s just a short distance away from an aviary gives it a certain charm, too.
Inside this Starbucks, you’ll find a pleasant space filled with wooden furnishing and tones of green and brown. The large windows allow natural light to seep through—if you’re there on a day as splendid as the one I had, the light makes the interiors feel almost idyllic and dreamlike. It’s a great place to unwind with a cup of coffee or tea after time spent in Bird Paradise.
Many of us already know what Starbucks beverage to get before stepping into an outlet, but for the sake of those who aren’t coffee fiends, I’ll recommend a few drinks. For a fragrant and rich coffee drink, Starbucks’ frappuccinos are good options, especially the Caramel (from $7.60) and Dark Mocha (from $8.20) and flavours. As for tea, a reliable pick is the Pure Matcha Tea Latte (from $7.90).
Just outside the coffee shop, there’s a mini playground for kids to enjoy. If you aren’t there with kids, though, just sit back and enjoy the gaiety that such a nature-filled place brings to children and adults alike.
