Bijin Nabe Japanese collagen soup Singapore
Collagen soup is a firm favourite hotpot base for many Singaporeans, but it is iffy to DIY. Thankfully, Japanese nabe restaurant Tsukada Nojo has made their signature Bijin Nabe collagen soup stock available in frozen packs at Don Don Donki outlets, just in time for all the Chinese New Year hotpot feasts at home.

Tsuakada Nojo was the first Japanese ‘beauty hotpot’ restaurant to arrive in Singapore circa 2012, and they have garnered a massive fanbase for their creamy, delicious collagen soup. The broth is painstakingly prepared by boiling organic Jidori chicken bones for over eight hours, but now, you can get a 750ml pack for only $16.80 at Don Don Donki.

Simply thaw the thickened, frozen soup, which has the consistency of pudding, in your hotpot, and you’re good to go. You can even dilute it with water if the stock is too rich.
