Easties, this is one launch you’ll want in on. You can now get your Korean fried chicken fix at Waker Chicken’s latest outlet, located in a coffeeshop at 211 New Upper Changi.

Started by two Koreans living in Singapore, Noh Tae Woo and Kim Jinho, the humble hawker stall is known for dishing out crispy and authentic Korean fried chicken made with ingredients that are directly sourced from Korea.
The chicken is said to be seasoned overnight for maximum flavour and tenderness. Each piece is fried to order, so you can expect fresh and juicy fried chicken each time.
Prices range from $13 to $14 for half a chicken, which includes seven pieces. This works out to just $2 or less per piece—a steal for legit Korean fried chicken that usually costs much more at any other restaurant.

Alternatively, go for the Tender/Fillet option, priced from $11 for eight pieces, working out to be just $1.40 per piece.
Flavours wise, choose from Original, Sweet Spicy, Soy Sauce, and Honey Butter, which comes with a generous sprinkling of honey butter-flavoured powder. If you’re dining solo, you can go for the wings instead, which are affordably priced from $6 for three.
