Warabimochi Kamakura will open at Taste Orchard on 9 April
Mark your calendar for 9 April 2024, as that’s when famous Japanese chain Warabimochi Kamakura will open their second outlet in Singapore!
Japan-Famous Warabimochi Kamakura Opens In Holland Village, Their 1st SG Outlet
The new takeaway kiosk will be located on the first floor of Taste Orchard, a five-minute walk from Somerset MRT Station.
The popular dessert brand, which boasts over 50 outlets in Japan, first landed on our shores in February 2024 at One Holland Village.
Their warabimochi is made with 100% bracken starch, using a secret recipe that results in a smoother, silkier, and lighter texture that’s no less chewy.
The pieces are rolled in premium kinako that’s specially sourced from Japan. This specific soybean powder is said to be roasted at a higher temperature for a longer time, so you get a richer flavour.

Try the warabimochi in a 2-Piece Cup ($3.90) or with Ice Cream ($5.90). The latter comes with kuromitsu syrup AKA Okinawan black sugar syrup. If you want more mochi goodness, get their 5-Piece Box ($7.90) or 10-Piece Box ($14.90)!
Warabimochi Kamakura’s new Orchard branch will also offer the same range of warabimochi-infused beverages as the Holland Village store. Popular picks include Strawberry Milk ($7.90 for medium, $9.90 for large), Tenku no Hojicha (from $5.90), and Asakawa-en Matcha (from $5.90): made with ceremonial-grade green tea powder.
