MuYoo is a popular bakery at NEX with mochi buns
If you’re a mochi fan and you live in the North-East region, you’ll be happy with this news: MuYoo, a Taiwanese-style bakery, has set up shop at NEX! The shopping mall is directly connected to Serangoon MRT Station, so those who reside somewhere along the purple line can make a pitstop for their bread fix.
The popular bakery teased their new NEX bakery just last month, totalling the number of their outlets to four. This latest branch is located on the third floor of the Serangoon shopping mall.
A must-try is their Peanut Mochi ($3.20), which boasts a generous amount of crunchy peanut filling, paired with soft and stretchy mochi.
Fans also rave about their Black Sesame Mochi ($3.20), which comprises a fragrant, nutty black sesame paste paired with a dollop of stretchy mochi, tucked within a soft bun.
Other than these two classic flavours, there’s also a Stretchy Purple Sweet Potato ($2.40)Â bread that comes with a creamy and earthy sweet potato filling, paired with the same signature mochi.

Otherwise, get the Matcha Mochi ($3.20)Â if you’re a fan of green tea-flavoured bakes. This snack features matcha-infused bread with an earthy green tea paste, complemented with QQ mochi.
Besides soft buns, you’ll also find an array of other goodies on MuYoo’s shelves, including the Almond Croissant ($3.70) and the Garlic Baguette ($2.30).
