Ba Buong Banh Mi in Jurong East has affordable banh mi
When we think of banh mi in Singapore, the famous Banh Mi Sai Gon and their pig’s ear filling or Bami Express in Tanjong Pagar may come to mind. For those living in the West, there’s also Ba Buong Banh Mi, a Vietnamese-owned banh mi stall in Jurong East. Originally named Your Deli Bite Banh Mi—which we had reviewed in 2022—the stall has since rebranded, but they are still specialising in banh mi.

The stall’s bestseller is their Special Traditional ($6.50) banh mi. This one has all the banh mi classics: cold cuts, pate, pickled veggies, and coriander. Frequent patrons of the stall love that they are very generous with their toppings.Â

Their BBQ Beef Cheese ($6.50) banh mi also makes the stall special. The sandwich is stuffed with four big and juicy beef patties, pickled veggies, coriander, and melty cheese on top. You can even ask for your banh mi to be halved so you can swap sandwiches with your friends!Â

Another fan favourite is the Roast Pork ($6.50) banh mi which comes with overflowing portions of meat! The succulent roast pork is also covered in sauce that is said to bring extra flavour and tanginess.Â

Here is something we cannot find everywhere: Egg Pate banh mi for only $5. This has got everything that makes for a great breakfast sandwich: veggies, and a huge pile of scrambled eggs! What’s more, you can even top up $1 for a cup of Vietnamese Milk Coffee with any banh mi to complete the morning meal combo.Â
