OutLine Cafe is a glamping-themed cafe in Johor Bahru
If you’re a fan of camping but have been deterred by Singapore’s scorching temperatures, here’s how you can go “glamping” in style and comfort. Simply cross the border to Johor Bahru and visit OutLine Cafe in Mount Austin.
While the cafe is a 30-minute drive from JB customs, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for affordable cafes in Johor Bahru.
As you step into the expansive two-storey cafe, you’ll be captivated by the stunning feature wall adorned with a large illuminated moon. Strike a pose as you feel the gravel beneath your feet!
OutLine Cafe also has fairy lights strewn overhead for romantic effect, complete with camping chairs and tables made up of cinder blocks.

Head up to the second level, where you’ll find more seating options and a teepee tent to keep the little ones entertained.
The cafe offers hearty mains at affordable prices. Dig into Ribeye Steak for just RM42.90+ (~S$12.24+), or Grilled Salmon for only RM34.90+ (~S$9.96+).
On our visit, we had the Grilled Chicken with Cheese (RM24.90+/~S$7.11+). This features a tender grilled chicken chop coated with rich cheese and served with fries. It also comes with a side salad for a more healthy meal.
For something sweet, try the cafe’s desserts, including Banana Split (RM6.99+/~S$1.99+) and Fruit Cake (RM6.99+/~S$1.99+). We also recommend the Earl Grey Mille Crepe (RM16.90+/~S$4.82+), a light and fluffy cake layered with soft crepes and infused with floral notes of Earl Grey
Drinks-wise, get the Aerocano (RM12.90+/~S$3.68+) for something thick and creamy, or the Chai Latte (RM14.90+/~S$4.25+) for something milky. Their most popular beverage is the Bleeding Matcha (RM16.90+/~S$4.82+), a matcha-infused drink with dried strawberry bits and strawberry syrup.
