Good news for those who have run out of things to do and places to go in Singapore! The much hyped about Eatbox is back this year, and they are returning even stronger with a longer list of stalls featuring food from Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.

Held at the same spot in Downtown East, the event goes on for two weekends. The dates to mark on your calendars are 21 to 23 February, 28 to 29 February, and 1 March 2020. Just like the previous year, admission is free and the event starts at 3pm and ends at 11pm.

Eatbox 2020 - The Naughty Corner

The first stall to head to is The Naughty Corner, which is known for their interesting flavours such as an Eatbox-exclusive Chilli Crab Gelato, Alphonso Mango Sorbet, Limetta Cheesecake and more. We also love how they offer Bubblewraps, better known as Hong Kong egglets, instead of boring waffle cones with their gelato. These orbs are also stuffed with gooey goodies such as caramel, for an added oomph of flavours.

Eatbox 2020 - Egg Stop

Those who can’t get enough of the Korean street toast trend can also check out Egg Stop, which tempts with a wide range of sandwiches bursting with ingredients.

Devoid of pork or lard, the Beef Teriyaki toast hides a wealth of tasty and tender beef slices, with a raw egg yolk balanced gingerly at the top. Something only sold exclusively at Eatbox 2020 is their Mackerel Otah Toast Sandwich, which is a modern rendition of otah bread that will lure you in with its wealth of spices and flavours.

Eatbox 2020 - Kazo Polo Bun

Taiwanese bakery Kazo will also be offering their famous Crispy Cream Puff as well as another Eatbox 2020-exclusive Hong Kong Style Pineapple Bun, which will pull the crowd with their beautiful and deliciously buttery layer on the outside.

Eatbox 2020 - Lobsters

You can also look out for exciting and new food creations such as Singapore-style Baked Garlic Lobsters from the halal-certified Beef Bro and Laksa Braised Pork Rice from D’bun.

Life is short so just eat and be merry. Save the dates and head down especially if you’re looking to flood your IG feed for the weekend. Feast and chill out to live music by homegrown musicians Nat Wu and Retrofocus, or strike a pose with art installations peppered around the Eatbox event space. Foodies can also gear up and participate in the Competitive Eating Championship by Food League Singapore, and stand a chance to walk home with a cash prize of $1,800.
