The blind box craze in Singapore shows no signs of slowing, especially with recent news that Singapore’s very first mystery blind box cafe has arrived in town. Named Nana & Friends Café, the cafe has just opened at Suntec City!

Nana & Friends Café combines a bingsu menu with a fun blind box surprise for diners. After ordering your bingsu, you’ll be given a number tag.

When your number is reflected on the display, you can collect your order at a vending machine. Simply press the pink heart button to unveil your bingsu and a mystery Nana & Friends character plushie, akin to the experience of unboxing a blind box.

There are five plushies to collect. The collection is designed by a team of artists at EVO Amusement, a homegrown company specialising in arcade games, carnivals, vending machines and more.

The bingsu here comes in four crowd-pleasing flavours: Mango, Chocolate Caramel, Strawberry, and Matcha. Each bingsu costs $18, and includes a random plushie.

Each bingsu is topped with a surprise character pudding and served with an innovative bingsu glass collar. Pull out the collar before digging in, and watch as the dessert cascades like an avalanche—a fun and IG-worthy moment.

We found the strawberry bingsu sweet and milky, with the familiar taste of strawberry-flavoured Pocky biscuit sticks.

Aside from bingsu, diners can also anticipate other sweet and savoury treats, from mochi waffles to mini tarts and quiches.

Those who love old-school waffles can try the Pistachio Praline M0chi Waffle ($4), where a fluffy waffle sandwiches nutty pistachio cream and chewy mochi.

Otherwise, the cafe also offers Mini Tarts ($5), in a range of rotating flavours.

Should you need a break from the sweet fare, consider getting the Chicken Quiche ($13).

We enjoyed the buttery and flaky pastry, which paired well with the eggy custard and tender chicken chunks.

Perfect for blind box enthusiasts, Nana & Friends Café promises a whimsical dessert experience that’s hard to find elsewhere. The cafe is decked in pastel pink tones, adding to the cutesy vibe!
