We raved about 46 Mittsu‘s extra thick sandos when we first reviewed them in 2021. Back then, they were tucked in a nondescript commercial building along Kim Yam Road, a distance away from Fort Canning MRT Station. The ultra-popular sandwich joint has now shifted to a brand new spot that’s slightly more central, in Everton Park.

The cafe takes over the space of the now-defunct Pickle Bakery.

Fans of 46 Mittsu will be glad to know that their best-selling B.E.C ($14) is still on the menu. This all-time favourite sees thick-cut bacon, creamy scrambled eggs, American cheddar, and a secret sauce, served between freshly baked ciabatta bread from local bakery Pelle.

A new addition to the sando list is Firebird ($15), a Korean-inspired number featuring gochujang fried chicken, purple slaw, and a sunny side up.

For those who prefer fresher flavours, tuck into the all-new Catfish ($18), which comprises fresh tuna, tangy papaya salad, and fried wonton skin for added crunch.

Other interesting picks include the Rojak ($15), a veggie-friendly sandwich with hummus, fried sprouts, hashbrown, and egg, and the Holy Cow Beef ($18), served with chimichurri, cheddar, and garlic butter.

Do note that 46 Mittsu has been selling out earlier than its stipulated closing time of 5pm since reopening, so do make sure you arrive early to beat the crowd. Seating is also limited with a few camping-style chairs, so it might be better to dabao instead of dining in.

Another cafe in the area worth trying is O Happi Place, which offers unique gelato flavours in a chic setting. There’s also Mormori Yogashi in Everton Park for freshly baked swiss rolls and more!

Address: 2 Everton Park, Singapore 081002
Opening hours: Daily 8am to 5pm (or until sold out)
