Finding under-HDB cafes is always fun as they are usually quite hidden and their offerings are a little bit more affordable than the ones in town. For instance, Cafe Fufu recently opened in Redhill with wallet-friendly wood-fired sourdough pizzas and tiramisu. Adding to this ever-growing list is Desert Dessert in Redhill and Ang Mo Kio, offering beautifully decorated cakes, croffles and more!

Their dainty Korean-style cakes are the highlight here. Out of the various flavours available, the signature Strawberry Shortcake ($9.50 per slice) is one of the most popular among patrons. Each slice is covered in fresh strawberries with alternate layers of sweet strawberry cream.
There’s also the Pistachio Berries ($9.20 per slice) for those who appreciate a good balance of sweet and nutty flavours.

If you prefer croffles to cakes, we recommend the Sea Salt Dark Chocolate (from $8.80) croffle as it’s what frequent patrons come for. You get velvety swirls of chocolate cream and sprinkles of sea salt and cocoa nibs on top!

You can pair the warm, toasty croffle with their gelato too. From $4.30 per scoop, you can indulge in different gelato flavours such as Biscoff Lotus, Honeycomb, or Grape Yakult. Alternatively, you can enjoy their Belgian Waffle ($6) with gelato for a classic ice cream and waffle combination.
