12 Restaurants In Singapore With Fresh Pasta Under $30++

Restaurants with affordable fresh pasta in Singapore

Whenever I express my craving for fresh pasta, I often encounter responses such as “fresh pasta is costly” or “Why do you want to be so atas?”. However, I’d like to challenge this common misconception. Fresh, handmade pasta doesn’t have to break the bank, and to prove my point, I’ve compiled a list of 12 restaurants in Singapore with affordable fresh pasta. Some of these places offer build-your-own pasta options too, allowing you to customise your meal just the way you like it!

1. Tipo Pasta Bar

Pasta lovers may be familiar with Tipo Pasta Bar, a Muslim-owned restaurant that specialises in handmade pasta. Formerly located along North Bridge Road, they’ve since relocated to a larger space along Aliwal Street, which is an eight-minute walk from Lavender MRT Station. Here, you can Build Your Own Pasta for a base price of $9.90++, and enjoy 120g of any pasta on the daytimes menu.

Some unique pasta options include Radiatori, which are short, squat pasta with ruffled edges; Creste De Gallo, characterised by its curved tubular shape; and Gemelli, which sees single s-shaped pasta strands twisted into a spiral. We recommend pairing the pasta with their fragrant pink sauce, a tomato cream pasta with aromatic floral undertones.

2. Tangled

With a few outlets across the country, Tangled is a chain offering an assortment of fresh, handmade pasta from only $10.90. There are four types of pasta here: fusilli, spaghetti, pappardelle ricce, and penne. Go for their most popular choice—Truffle Shuffle Shrooms ($12.90), starring sauteed mushrooms laid on a bed of mushroom pappardelle ricce in creamy truffle sauce, topped with a poached egg.

If you’re ordering for takeaway, you won’t have to worry about soggy pasta too, as their packaging separates the noodles from the sauce.

A popular takeaway pasta kiosk is PastaGo, which has four outlets on the island. Similar to Tangled, Pastago offers fresh, customisable pasta in a variety of shapes, flavours, and toppings. The ordering process is simple—choose your preferred flavour, pasta shape, and add-ons, if any.

Their cheapest item is the Aglio e OIio ($5.70), featuring long strands of al dente pasta coated in a generous amount of olive oil, garlic, and chilli flakes. For a more filling meal, you can also add on $2 for grilled chicken or seared prawns.

If you’re ordering off the menu, we recommend their Truffle Cacio E Pepe ($22.90), made with a secret pepper mix, Pecorino Romano cheese, and a dash of truffle oil. It’s said to be peppery, savoury, and super creamy too.
