Though food trucks are a wonderful concept, we sadly don’t see many of them in Singapore. That is, until Gourmet Park rolled into town. Located in Resorts World Sentosa, this collaboration between the integrated resort and Food Truck Nation sees 16 well-known brands set up shop in what is essentially a “food truck park”.

The sheer variety of food trucks here is impressive: you’ll find Singaporean, American, Indian, Mexican, Middle-Eastern, Sri Lankan, and Spanish delicacies here, along with a range of drinks and desserts.

Of the many brands at the park, perhaps the most distinguished is Kotuwa, run by the renowned Michelin-starred Chef Rishi Naleendra. Kotuwa the restaurant has been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand for three consecutive years now, so you can expect the fare to be top-notch.

Be sure to get the Prawn Kottu ($18), which is essentially chopped-up roti cooked with vegetables, eggs, gravy, and prawn. It’s one of Sri Lanka’s most popular street foods, and packs a flavourful and piquant punch.

Another must-try is Blue Smoke, helmed by founder of The 1925 Brewing Co and award-winning chef Ivan Yeo.

Blue Smoke serves delectable meat dishes, including the Lemongrass Fried Chicken (from $12.96) and Smoked Beef Brisket ($16.20). The latter features succulent slices of beef slathered in an aromatic rendang sauce—beef fans will love this one.

If you’d like something hearty, you can drop by the Dickson Nasi Lemak or Chun Noodle Bar food trucks. When we reviewed these at their original stalls, we found these to be exciting renditions of classic local dishes. You can expect more of the same at these trucks.

As for lighter eats, Gourmet Park has a few enticing picks. From the savoury camp, there’s the QUEIC & Olivia Market truck, offering tapas and other small market dishes.

We recommend the Bikini Barcelona ($14), which are mini sandwiches featuring Iberico ham, mozzarella cheese, and truffle.

From the sweet camp, there’s the Spank My Dough truck by the popular online business of the same name. Here, they mainly offer bombolinis doughnuts of several varieties, such as Hazelnut Ganache (price TBD), which is filled with a Nutella-esque cream, and the tart and toothsome Blueberry Lavender & Lemon (price TBD).
