The lobster roll scene has been an exciting one over the last few years. Plenty of home-grown concepts such as Chunky Lobsters and Lobsters & Ice Cream V2.0 have set up shop, sharing the same space with established international boys like Burger & Lobster from London. Joining the fray will be Luke’s Lobster from New York.

The American-based lobster roll specialist, which has 26 outlets in the States and 10 in Japan is known for their tasty seafood rolls that feature wild-caught lobsters, crabs, and prawns. It will open on 23 September 2020 at Shaw House, next to Danish pastry shop Leckerbaer

What makes Luke’s Lobster different from others is its relationship with fishermen. By working directly with them, the lobster roll chain can source for fresher and higher-quality seafood without any middleman. They also boast of being able to trace their seafood back to the harbour where it was sustainably caught.

Each roll comes with either 113g or 170g of seafood served in a toasted buttered bun. Mayonnaise, lemon butter, and the stall’s special seasoning are then slathered over the bun to make for an appetising treat.

While we have no idea how the stall might look like yet, its outlets in Japan are known for having a sleek and marine-themed interior. However, we understand that the stall in Singapore can seat around 30 diners, with only 15 to 20 seats available when it opens due to safe distancing measures.

There is no indication of pricing as well. But its franchisee Caerus Holding, which brought in Lady M to Singapore, have stated that they will keep them affordable.
